Challenge
Mitsubishi ductless mini-split. The customer previously had a stand up heating and air conditioning unit that they placed inside the attic of their home. They did this because their kids spent a lot of time up there and they wanted to make sure they were somewhat comfortable. After some time, the stand up system was not performing very well in heating or in cooling so the homeowners began exploring different options.
Solution
We provided Mitsubishi ductless mini-split single-zone design that placed a floor mounted ductless mini-split unit on one side of the attic. The customer chose to go with Mitsubishi Electric because they had the highest SEER rating and had the best reviews. It also didn’t hurt that Mitsubishi had the best looking floor mounted unit! We placed a 9,000 BTU Mitsubishi indoor unit (MFZ-KJ09NA) in the attic to heat and cool it properly.
The line-set connecting the indoor and outdoor units ran right outside and connected right to the outdoor unit (MUZ-KJ09NA) that was located on the roof of the house. The outdoor unit was placed on a bracket so that it could be secured down to the roof.
Result
The customer now has Mitsubishi ductless mini-split single-zone air conditioning. It is conditioning the space well and it is looking great in the corner of the room, out of sight and mind. They will be pleased to see an awesome proportion of comfort and monthly cost on their upcoming electricity bills. The kids will now want to spend more time in the attic because of this Mitsubishi Floor Mounted indoor ductless design.
